How does Avocado Oil help your skin?
Avocado Oil is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. They strengthen the barrier function and structural integrity of the skin, and have anti-inflammatory properties. Phytosterols (plant compounds similar to human cholesterol) work to lock in moisture, and stop water loss leading to hydrated, plumped skin.
It also contains vitamins and natural anti-oxidants, and has been shown to boost the skin’s hydroxyproline (an amino acid) levels.
